Reservation Slot : Sunday 7/25/21 - Tailgater's Meadow 3:15 - 5:15PM
Once you arrive at Two Pony Gardens please follow the signs to the Meadow where you'll park your vehicle and set up your picnic spot. After you have your spot set up you can come up as a group, or just send a representative or two up to the Farm House Front Yard; that is where you'll find the Pizza Tent and you can check your group in. The Pizza Crew will tell you how long they'll need to complete your order and before you know it you'll have pizzas in hand ready to get back to your spot to enjoy fresh air, pizza and good company in the Meadow.
THIS WEEK's PIZZAS :
Two Pony Gardens Cherry Tomatoes + Mozzarella + Basil
Roasted Garlic with Pesto
Pesto made with Basil and Pine Nuts + Mozzarella + Pecorino Romano
Chunky Pancetta Tomato Sauce + Mozzarella + Arugula Microgreens
YOUR PICNIC SPOT :
When you arrive at the Parking Meadow, get the lay o' the land. Pick the spot that suits your crew and set up there! Easy as pie! There is a view of the tipi, a view of the garlic field and more! Please enjoy all gardens and growing things with your eyes only. The Parking Meadow is also home to our friends Matt and Jessica and their RV for the summer, so please be mindful of them. This reservation location is great for those of you who maybe want to bring a set of bags to throw for the afternoon or lay out on a picnic blanket playing cards.
Word of caution that your group should do a quick study on identifying poison ivy, as it likes the kind of places that human people like. Shady spots under trees! So just beware and know that things like socks with tennis shoes or high boots, tucking pants into socks are all good advice to avoid contact with plants and to avoid ticks. Being outside is amazing and does the body good but knowing the tricks of the trade will help your group to have the best time possible.
WHAT TO BRING :
Beverages, side dishes, small yard games, bug spray, sunscreen, water, lawn chairs, picnic blankets, anything you'll want to enjoy a few hours of fun outside! Plus a bag to contain your waste, we are a LEAVE NO TRACE FARM, so you are required to pack out all of your waste and trash at the end of your picnic.
WHAT NOT TO BRING :
Not more than ONE VEHICLE. No pets, toys that resemble guns, fireworks, kids snacks with packaging that will inevitably end up on the ground, etc.
*A note about little ones! It is crucial that parents or any adult who is responsible for children on the farm to have eye on their young ones at all times. This is a working farm full of animals, equipment and dangerous situations can arise at any time if close attention is not paid. Although we do love kids and go out of our way to add to their experience at Two Pony Gardens our staff is not responsible for entertaining or educating your kiddos, please plan accordingly.*
This is a Farm but it is also a home and fortunately for us, Lisa Ringer generously shares it with us. In order to show appreciation we ask that you respect some boundaries. No visitors on-site before scheduled reservations or without communication, no visitors in the Farm House (there is a port-a-potty on-site) and please stay on pathways in the woods and in the gardens. it is NEVER ok to pick wild plants or anything from the gardens without permission and foraging in Wolsfelds Woods is frowned upon. The woods surrounding our farm is a Scientific and Natural Area and we all need to respect that conservation work by minimally impacting the land.
We want to make sure that you have a great time, that you fill up on pizza but that we also are all taking care of the earth that provides us with the wonderful lives we live! Stewarding this land is our greatest gift and greatest responsibility and we thank you for sharing in this work with us and for supporting our little farm!
There will be a Market Stand stocked with farm goodies so be sure to bring cash or download Venmo! Don't forget to add pizzas to your order before checking out and we will see you Sunday, July 25th! Come rain or shine! We only refund tickets/reservation fees if the weather is not safe!
