This reservation pays for two and a half hours of time on Sumac Hill with three vehicles worth of humans you love.
Our reservation fees are not meant to be cost prohibitive, this compensation is what allows us to share this land with you. Two Pony People are first and foremost stewards of this earthy place, we appreciate you supporting us in our mission to support the ecosystem, of which we are all a part. Land conservation and regenerative management practices are our highest values and greatest asset to the community.

Once you arrive at Two Pony Gardens please follow the signs to the Farm House Front Yard and then to Sumac Hill, where you'll park on the grass on the flat below the hill. There are three parking spots for your vehicles and a hill on which to set up lawn chairs, pop-up tables, picnic blankets, etc. There is no formal infrastructure here but there are great flat sitting rocks around a firepit. At certain events you can request a fire for an additional fee. It's a great spot with tons of space for a lovely picnic! After setting up please check-in at the Pizza Tent and spend the rest of your evening enjoying what Two Pony Gardens has to offer: great views, hiking trails, ponies to pet, chickens to visit, gardens to gander at and more!

Local food from our small farm is the best option for your health and for the health of community and ecosystem as a whole. Our pizzas are made with fresh, small batch, dough that features Sunrise Mill Heritage Flour and is hand mixed within a few hours of hitting the outdoor oven. These pies are about 10-12 inches and feature topping from Two Pony Garden and other small local farms.
YOUR PICNIC SPOT :
Is a lovely hill top with an apple tree and some sumac shade. There is so much space for you to fill out with picnic blankets and lawn chairs from home. The pony paddock is close by for frequent visits and front row viewing.
Around the edges there is a bit of poison ivy to look out for but there is tons of space on the hill for worry-free frolicking, You are limited to three vehicles and whomever you can fit into those three vehicles. The only "seating" is some flat rocks so you'll need to bring whatever items your group will require to be comfortable.
WHAT TO BRING :
Beverages, side dishes, bug spray, sunscreen, water, utensils, plates, napkins. Anything you'll want to enjoy a few hours of fun outside! Plus, a bag to contain your waste, we are a LEAVE NO TRACE FARM, so you are required to pack out all of your waste and trash at the end of your picnic.
WHAT NOT TO BRING :
Not more than THREE VEHICLES. No pets, toys that resemble guns, fireworks, snacks with micro-plastic packaging that will inevitably end up on the ground, etc.
*A note about little ones! It is crucial that parents or any adult who is responsible for children on the farm to have eye on their young ones at all times. This is a working farm full of animals, equipment and dangerous situations can arise at any time if close attention is not paid. Although we do love kids and go out of our way to add to their experience at Two Pony Gardens our staff is not responsible for entertaining or educating your kiddos, please plan accordingly.*
This is a Farm but it is also a home and fortunately for us, Lisa Ringer generously shares it with us. In order to show appreciation we ask that you respect some boundaries. No visitors on-site before scheduled reservations or without communication, no visitors in the Farm House (there is a port-a-potty on-site) and please stay on pathways in the woods and in the gardens. it is NEVER ok to pick wild plants or anything from the gardens without permission and foraging in the Wolsfeld is frowned upon. The woods surrounding our farm is a Scientific and Natural Area and we all need to respect that conservation work by minimally impacting the land.
We want to make sure that you have a great time, that you fill up on pizza but that we also are all taking care of the earth that provides us with the wonderful lives we live! Stewarding this land is our greatest gift and greatest responsibility and we thank you for sharing in this work with us and for supporting our little farm!

There is no guarantee that we will be able to add pizzas to your order on the day of the event! (And if we can they will be a premium price.)
We only refund tickets/reservation fees if the weather ends up being not safe! We can't offer rain dates but full refunds will be given if weather forces a cancellation on our end. OUR POLICY PROHIBITS REFUNDS FOR DOUBLE BOOKING, CHANGES IN SPORTS SCHEDULES, ETC. Small farms run on extremely small margins. Please be really sure when you purchase, refunds are rare!
